Last night, my friend Jalil and I went to Friday's down by the Nile - it was a bit cool, but very nice. We got caught up on old stories from Pakistan. Many Egyptians, when they are at outdoor cafes smoke the shisha pipes or "hookah". It is tobacco flavored with different fruit - apple is the most popular. Jalil has told me about some cafes where he has smelled hashish - shame, shame!
